Despite the global economic crisis, sales of about $15.4 billion for machinery have been recorded. Machines like draglines, excavators and power cranes had an impressive total sales of just over $3.2 billion.
This coupled with the the new machinery parts plants to be built, it provides good news for the heavy machinery industry.
It has been found that the customers who are the most active on the market include companies dealing with renting and leasing equipment, construction companies and the companies that belong to the adjacent industry segments, such as agriculture, mining, waste management and forestry. Large commercial construction companies spend just over $2 billion annually.
