Results for the European construction industry fell again for the fifth month in a row in March 2013 with a decline rate of 1.7% since February and 7.9% since March 2013. Results came from the European Unions’s statistic agency and included 17 countries in the Euro area. Results varied across the different member states as some increased and some decreased. Slovenia recored the sharpest decline of -31.8% followed by Czech Republic at -19%, Poland at -6.9% and Portugal at -16.7%. However some contries received good news recording an increase, the highest being Spain at +16.6% and Hungary at +9.9%.
Latest results will have an ongoing impact on the sale of construction machinery, heavy equipment and machinery parts across the European Union.
