Mitsubishi Machinery and Autos have announced that they are to open a new plant in Fort Smith which is expected to create roughly 400 new jobs.

It is said that Fort Smith is about to experience a rapid economical boost thanks to Mitsubishi’s announcement. There has been about a year and a half of speculation before the news was confirmed recently. It is believed that the the factory will invest $100,000,000 into Fort Smith thus leading to the creation of 400 jobs. The plant is going to be based in Chaffee Crossing across almost 90 acres.The machinery factory will deal with producing manufacture wind turbines predominately. As things stand, the company has more than 4,500 turbines worldwide and just over 3,000 in the US.
